1. About the water filter

The Swan SW water softener 18/25/30-E is an automatically regenerating water softener filter designed to remove "hard" salts (water softening), small amounts of iron, ammonium, manganese from water by ion exchange principle. The materials (written above) are collected in filters mediacationite), and are loosened during the regeneration process. regeneration frequency depends on the actual amount of water used. During this process all collected excessive elements are removed by using connection to the sewage system. Salt (NaCl) is used to restore the maximum filtrated water capacity of media. 2. Usage

The Swan SW water softener 18/25/30-E works by single operating mode. These water filters are required when water have hardness, increased iron ammounts. Also when ammonium or manganese levels are higher than allowed by hygiene standards. This filters can be used in apartments, cafes, cottages, private homes and anywhere else where water consumption is between 2 and 30m³ per month (see table at the bottom of the description for full details on the suitability of the each model). Filters are used to protect water heating equipment (boilers), sanitary equipment, household equipment (dishwashers, washing machines, water heating equipment), etc. Also to improve the quality of the used water.

3. Equipment set-up

3.2 The 'base' of the filtration equipment is pressurised housings made of reinforced polyacrylic. The products meet all of the hygiene, safety and technological requirements.

3.3 Filtration media:  cationite „Dowex”, JAV

3.5 The unit includes 25 kg of crushed salt regesal (NaCl.) for the preparation of the regeneration solution.

3.6 Optionally available with a untreated water valve (By-Pass valve), „Clack Corporation”, JAV.

4. Installation of the filter.

The installation work shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the "INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION, SETUP, COMMISSIONING AND WARRANTY SERVICE OF AUTOMATIC FOG FILTERS", which is supplied with the equipment.

5. General specifications.

*Note: The recommended filter suitability is based on a total Hardness of 6-7 mg-eq/liter or 3-3.5 mmol/liter.
